Weird MC - Riranwo
Weird MC isn’t a new name in Naija music. If you’ve been to a naija party, wedding or the like in the last few years, you’ve probably heard her music. For more than a decade, Weird MC The Raptainer has been dropping afro-infused hiphop while splitting time between Naija and the UK. Her latest claim to fame was the appropriately titled Ijoya (previewed here in 2005)… a wildly successful dance track that racked up awards and packed dancefloors the world over.
Following closely on the heels of Ijoya, Weird MC returns with another great track. This time it’s Riranwo (Riran Wo - i.e. See Something.) It’s the first single off the upcoming album, New Dawn. Check out Weird MCs MySpace page for the latest information regarding the release and enjoy the track.
